A PLACE
TO LEARN.
A rider's environment matters. At Poplar Ford Farm, riders learn with confidence, and our horses' care, comfort and wellbeing stay at the center of everything we do.
BUILT AROUND
THE HORSE.
Riders learn in the arena, and through the everyday routines and responsibilities of good horsemanship.

A PLACE TO LEARN
A large 100' x 200' bluestone arena that rides well in most weather. A grass field with intro and starter level cross-country obstacles and show jumps. And direct access from the barn door to the Historic Manassas Battlefield trails: 20 miles of wide, groomed, shared-use trails.

DESIGNED AROUND THE HORSE
Our horses are turned out overnight year round and in groups when they are off the clock, with big box stalls to come in and rest. They have two days off every week, see the best vets and farrier in the area, a massage therapist and a chiropractor, eat top-quality feed, and have their tack fit checked several times a year.

SAFETY COMES FIRST
A dedicated lesson manager helps young and new riders tack up and untack. We check every rider's tack before they mount, and every helmet for a proper fit. Our horses are chosen for their good nature and ability to teach, but they are still living animals with minds of their own, which is why we teach riders to pay attention and notice the details.

LIFE AT CUDO
Wifi so parents can work from the car or the picnic benches while watching lessons. Ample parking, a full restroom with room to change, and an outdoor wash area with hot and cold water. Parents are always welcome to stay, watch and help out.
